Registration Notice of 2022 BEIKE BEIJING MARATHON

1. Race Information

(1) Race Date: Sunday, November 6, 2022

(2) Event: Marathon (42.195KM)

Start: Tian'anmen Square, Beijing.

Finish: Beijing Olympic Park Landscape Avenue.

2. Registration method and process

Registration method: Log in Beijing Marathon official website or cooperative APP

3. Eligibility for registration

1) General Participants

• All the entrants should be Beijing permanent population.

Note: Foreign people in Beijing have to register with passport, valid visa and proof of residence in Beijing for at least six months.

• All the entrants should be over 20 years old (born before December 31, 2002).

• Marathon result within 6 hours or Half Marathon result within 3 hours since Jan. 1 2019 to Aug.31 2022. The experience of virtual marathon will not be accepted.

2) Elite athletes

The LOC will invites the best domestic professionals athletes to the race as special elite athletes.

4. COVID-19 Prevention Requirements

1) General Participants

• Participants must fill in their personal information truthfully during registration. Any behavior that seriously endangers public safety due to deliberate concealment of their itinerary and health status will be reported to the relevant authorities for legal liability.

• All the participants should register with BEIJING health kit, and the health code is normal.(if there is a pop-up window, the entrants will not be able to race, and the organizing committee will refund the registration fee in full).

• All the participants must be complete the whole process of COVID-19 vaccination and provide effective vaccination certificates before October 20, 2022 (excluding). Among them, those who have completed the whole process of COVID-19 vaccination before April 20, 2022 (excluding) must complete the enhanced vaccination before October 20, 2022 (excluding).

• All the participants should not leave Beijing within 7 days from the date of pick-up to the date of race. All entrants should be checked by face recognition equipment and verified by staff at the pick-up site, including temperature measurement, status of Beijing Health code, the completion of vaccination, days of negative nucleic acid test and itinerary information. Do not leave Beijing during the competition day.

• All the participants must submit the Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment signed in person before pick-up.

• Provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 24 hours before pick-up the package, check by face recognition equipment. To ensure that the nucleic acid test negative certificate is updated in a timely manner, the recommended nucleic acid detection time is as follows:

• Contestants must be screened for epidemiological history within 10 days before the competition. The participant is prohibited from participating if:

A. People who have one or more local COVID-19 cases in the county, land border port county, medium-high risk area county, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan region, foreign travel history, or contact history of COVID-19 cases within 10 days before the race.

B. Confirmed cases who have been cured and discharged from hospital or asymptomatic infected persons who have been released from centralized isolation and medical observation and are still in the follow-up or medical observation period.

C. People who are judged to be close contacts, close contacts or high-risk groups and are not under control.

D. Persons who have received a telephone call from relevant authorities about the risk of epidemic prevention and control within 10 days before the race requiring them to be quarantined or under home medical observation or health monitoring, or with abnormal health codes or travel codes。

E. Participants are allowed to participate in the event that the risk of infection is eliminated:

a) There are clustered diseases (2 or more cases of fever and/or respiratory symptoms in small places such as homes and offices within 7 days).

b) They have the travel history and contact history of the prefecture-level cities where the medium- and high-risk areas are located (municipalities directly under the Central Government, districts and counties of sub-provincial cities, the same below) or the prefecture-level cities where the new domestic cases are located within 10 days, and the risk of infection has not been ruled out.

c) Co-residents are persons in direct contact with imported goods, employees at ports of entry, staff at centralized quarantine sites and other risk occupational groups.

• Establish a health declaration system. Players must log on the official website to declare their personal health condition within 7 days before the race.

• Provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 24 hours and check by face recognition equipment before enter the start on the race day. In order to ensure that the negative nucleic acid test certificate is updated in time, it is recommended that the nucleic acid test be conducted from 00:00 a.m. -12:00 a.m. on November 5.

• During the event, entrants are required to wear masks scientifically, keep a social distance of more than 1m, and follow the guidance of volunteers and staff on site. You can take off the mask after starting.

• One nucleic acid test must be completed within 48 hours after the race; the race result certificate can be downloaded only after the nucleic acid test is completed.

2) The elite athletes

The Organizing committee will invite domestic elite athletes to participate in the competition as special invited athletes who need to follow the COVID-19 prevention requirements by Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and control.

5. Physical Requirement

Marathon is an athletic sport of high load and great intensity over long distances. It is also a high risk athletic sport which has high physical demands on participants. Those who wish to participant in Marathon race shall be in healthy condition, have experience in running and have completed training with distance over half-marathon. Anyone who has any of the following diseases is not recommended to participate:

1) Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease

2) Hypertension and cerebrovascular disease

3) Myocarditis and other heart diseases

4) Coronary artery disease and server irregular heartbeat

5) Diabetes

6) Having cold symptoms two weeks prior to the race

7) Heavy drinking or insufficient sleep the night before the race

8）Other diseases that is not suitable for sports

9) Pregnancy

6. Registration Time

1) The entry system will open at 10:00 a.m. on October 4 and close at 10:00 a.m.  on October 7.

2) The draw will be announced in mid to late of October.

8. Registration Fee

1) Chinese entrants (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan): 200 RMB / person

2) Foreign entrants: 50 USD / person

The registration fee will not be refunded to those who have been confirmed.

3) After successful registration, the registration fee will be not refund, and the entry place is not transferable.

Participant who is unable to follow the requirement of not leaving Beijing 7 days before the race day for personal reasons, he/she is deemed to quit automatically. Please submit the refund application to the Organizing Committee by email before 26 October (excluding). Late applications will not be processed.

9. reserved places of 2021

The Organizing Committee will reserve the places for all runners who have qualified for the 2021 race until 2022. Runners who have reserved places must complete their registration within the specified time and meet the registration requirements for 2022 Beijing Marathon and the relevant epidemic prevention regulations.

10. direct entry

Players who do not need to be drawn and obtain a direct entry must comply with the competition regulations and complete the registration and payment within the specified time. If these players do not meet the entry requirements for this year, the Organizing Committee will retain the eligibility until 2023. (must comply with 2023 registration and entry requirements)

Note: the pass-through runners include:

9 stars runners of Beijing Marathon 2019 (Subject to the list released on the official website). And the runners who have participated in the following events: 2020 Beijing Marathon 40th Anniversary Online Race, Creative course and Food Festival. 2021 Beijing Marathon Online Race, 2020 Nanjing Marathon , 2020 Guangzhou Marathon and 2021 Huaian Marathon.

11. No-sprint wheelchair entrants

Besides the normal registration on website or APP, no-sprint wheelchair entrants still need to log in the official website of Beijing Marathon and download the “no-sprint wheelchair application form”, then send it with the marathon event  certificate, disability certificate scanned documents or photos to the email (oc@beijing-marathon.com) before 10:00 a.m. October 7, the organizing committee will check the qualification and send the result via email.

12. Important Information

1) All entrants should fill in registration form truthfully. The organizing committee will verify the authenticity of the information. False information will lead to disqualification from 2022 Beijing Marathon.

2) Any person who uses FALSE information to obtain qualification, transfer or use the old bib in the race shall be responsible for all consequences. After the violation is verified and confirmed by the organizing committee, the violators will be punished with a lifetime ban of the Beijing Marathon, and shall be reported to the Chinese Athletics Association for additional punishment.

3) All entrants should provide the negative certificate of the COVID-19 nucleic acid test report within 24 hours before the race day, and the original ID card used in the registration and other relevant documents or proof materials.

4) One nucleic acid test must be completed within 48 hours after the race; the race result certificate can be downloaded only after the nucleic acid test is completed.

5) The entrant must complete the registration and pay the registration fee within the specified time, otherwise it will be regarded as giving up, and the place will not be filled later.

6）If the event is unable to be held or postponed due to force majeure, the organizing committee will notify separately.
